Privacy Policy

AuraBook (“AuraBook,” “we,” “us”) is a booking marketplace that connects clients with local service providers — barbers, stylists, detailers, artists, and more. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
The short version
We collect what’s needed to run a booking app — your account details, bookings, and the content you create. We don’t sell your data, run ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us: account details such as your name, email address, password or Apple / Google account identifier, and optional phone number; profile content such as photos, business name, bio, service address, services and prices, working hours, gallery images, banner image, and social handles; bookings including service, provider, date and time, price, and payment status; messages exchanged inside the app; and ratings, written reviews, and attached photos. Card payments are processed by Stripe — your card number goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on AuraBook’s servers. Providers complete Stripe onboarding for payouts, while AuraPro subscriptions are billed by Apple through your Apple ID. Location, contacts, and Face ID / Touch ID stay on your device and are never uploaded or scanned by AuraBook. We may collect basic technical information needed to operate the service, including a device token if you enable push notifications and standard server logs for security and debugging.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to create and manage your account and provider profile; make bookings work by showing appointments to both sides and sending confirmations, reminders, and updates; process payments, deposits, tips, and refunds through Stripe; run the AuraPoints loyalty program and apply redeemed rewards; deliver messages; display provider profiles, ratings, and reviews; send push notifications you’ve enabled; keep the platform safe by investigating reports, enforcing blocks, and preventing fraud or abuse; and comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting handled by Stripe and Apple.
3. What other people can see
Provider profiles are public to app users and may include business name, category, address, photos, services, prices, working hours, rating, reviews, and social links. Clients share limited details with providers they book: their name, booking details, and anything sent in chat. Reviews are visible to users viewing the provider, shown with your first name and any attached photos.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with the partners needed to run AuraBook: Stripe for payment processing, provider payouts, and required tax reporting; Supabase for hosting and database services; and Apple for subscription billing, push notification delivery, and Sign in with Apple. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. Booking and payment records may be retained as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes even after other data is deleted.
6. Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account any time in the app: Profile → Delete Account. This removes your account and associated personal data from our systems, including bookings, messages, reviews, notifications, and profile information. Records we’re legally required to keep, such as payment records held by Stripe, are retained according to our partners’ legal obligations. You can also email us and we’ll handle it for you.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app or by contacting us. We will never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.
8. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Access to production data is restricted, and payment credentials are handled exclusively by Stripe’s PCI-compliant systems.
9. Children
AuraBook is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of AuraBook after changes means you accept the updated policy.
